Philanthropy has been the foundation that has helped make Palma into the great school it is today and that
spirit of giving is embodied in all aspects of life at Palma.
Tuition accounts for only 88% of the annual operating budget. As an independent, Catholic school, Palma
receives no financial support from the Diocese of Monterey or from federal, state, or local governments.
The sole sources of income are tuition, charitable giving, invested funds, and income earned from special
events.
Your donation to The Palma Fund directly supports the many talented and dedicated students, faculty,
and staff of Palma High School. Please make a gift today. Your generosity affirms your commitment to
Palma's strong foundation of academic excellence, moral growth, and community involvement.
Gifts to The Palma Fund may be made in the following manner:
Ways of Giving
Gifts of Cash: Personal checks and/or credit card payments are the most popular ways to make a gift to The Palma Fund. Simply include your check or credit card information with The Palma Fund remittance envelope and return it the school.
Gifts of Securities: You transfer securities to Palma High School. Palma sells your securities and credits the value to The Palma Fund. The gift is available for immediate use by the school. The charitable deduction is determined by the fair market value on the date of the transfer of the asset to the Palma. An acknowledgement will be sent to you describing your gift as well as the receipt date and value for your tax records. Palma's policy is to sell all securities upon receipt.
Instructions for transferring stock to the school may be obtained from the Advancement Office: 831-422-2309
Matching Gifts: There are many companies that match their employees' gifts. For example, if a donor gives $5,000 to Palma, a matching gift company will also give $5,000 to Palma, and thus the donor is credited with a $10,000 gift. Donors simply need to contact their human resources offices for the appropriate forms and forward them with their gifts to the school for completion.
