to another great year at Palma High School. This will be my second year at Palma after spending the previous eight years teaching at El Camino High School in Sacramento, CA. While there, I served as the Head basketball coach for nine years culminating in a CIF-SJS Championship (Video) in 2008. I also spent time as the Cross-country (3 years) and Golf coach (5 years). During my time there I taught every level of English, AVID, Health, and Introduction to Computers.
Having grown up on the peninsula (Stevenson Alum), I leapt at the chance to return home after being offered the opportunity to teach at Palma. During my first year, I taught Junior Theology, English 3, and English 1B. I also served as the Junior class advisor, and organized the first ever College Trip. I also coached the 7th grade and JV basketball teams. This year I add PE department chair to my list of responsibilities, and replace English 3 with PE 7/8.
I am married to a wonderful wife and mother named Amy. We have two daughters (Kailey-6, Sydney-4) and are welcoming a son in December. |
