THIS WEEK WE WILL BE WORKING ON SEVERAL PROJECTS BASED ON OUR READING OF THE CALL OF THE WILD. NOW THAT WE HAVE FINISHED THE BOOK, WE WILL BE ANALYZING AND INTERPRETING. WE WILL WORK IN CLASS, SOMETIMES ON OUR OWN AND SOMETIMES WITH A PARTNER. HOMEWORK WILL DEPEND ON HOW MUCH WE ACCOMPLISH IN CLASS. OUR FINAL PROJECT WILL BE A TEST AND AN ESSAY AFTER WE HAVE INTERPRETED AND APPRECIATED THE BOOK. YOU WILL NEED TO WATCH THE BOARD IN A-6 FOR UPDATES AND DETAILS.

WEEK OF 10/28

Monday: Character chart. This chart will help us to recall main characters and events, as well as causes and effects and reactions. Fill out the sheet according to the directions. After you finish, we will discuss the information you have on your sheet. This exercise will help us to remember many details of plot and characterization-- as well as theme ideas.

Tuesday: Discuss Character Chart and begin work on Story Map. This exercise will help us to analyze the conflict in the story as well as setting and resolution.

Wednesday: Discuss Story Map. At this point we will assess our progress and plan the rest of the week.
