Fourth Quarter Science 9 Project #1

 

To understand how alchemy was developed into a science, you are going to be assigned a scientist that made a major contribution to the world of chemistry. Assignment of the caricature will be conducted by picking a number between 1 and 37.

 

 

To complete the assignment, you will be required to conduct the three activities that follow:

 

One:

1.     Color your drawing and create some saying about it that is in good taste.

2.     Be original, neat and show clarity.

3.     Place your name, period and due date in the upper right hand corner.

4.     Points assigned: 5.

Two:

  1. Type on 8 x 11 paper in size 12 font.
  2. Place your name, period and due date in the upper right hand corner.
  3. Create a biography on the scientist including things such as birth date – death date place of birth, parentÕs occupation, education, where death occurred.
  4. The biography will consist of a minimum of two paragraphs and a maximum of four paragraphs each with a minimum of four sentences.
  5. Points assigned: 10

Three:

  1. Type on 8 x 11 paper in size 12 font.
  2. Place your name, period and due date in the upper right hand corner.
  3. Identify what contributions to science this individual was responsible for including any patents, discoveries, laws or theories ( go into some detail here) named after the individual.
  4. The contributions will consist of a minimum of two paragraphs and a maximum of four paragraphs each with a minimum of four sentences.
  5. Points assigned: 10

Due date:

1.     April 4th

2.     Caricature, biography and contributions will be stapled together when turned in.

3.     This assignment will not be  accepted late.
